Hi every one,
I have to discuss a well know case study! I want two ISP connection to my corport office ( hunderd of users). I want to run BGP ( Multihomed).
I have confusion regarding ASN. Is i need IANA ASN or ISP will provide me the private ASN ( Autonmous sysnetm number ).
If the local ISPs provide me private ASN , Will i be able to load balance and other policy routing ???
Can any body please share the example configuration in case of two ISP.
If some one have the practical experience please share with me.

Hello,
Using private AS works well using one-two Internet connections FROM the only ONE ISP.
Using two ISP I recommend you acquiring you own AS number. The configuration is pretty straighforward just type cisco bgp on any search engine .

You mean we can get the private AS from single ISP with dual connection ? please correct if i am wrong .

Hi,
If you are using same ISP with dual connections then u can use private AS.
If you are using 2 different ISP's then u need to get your own public AS from the RIPE.
Thanks

Hi, my suggestion will be to get yourself assigned ASN, two routers and two ISP's. If needed, we can work on some config as well
