Hey Friends,
I have a router on a stick setup using a 1921 router and a 3750 Catalyst Switch. The local side is connected via sub-interfaces on g0/1.**. This set up is working as expected- routing between the various vLANs currently on the network. I am trying to connect to the buildings wireless AP via a bridge connected to the g0/0 port. The limitations of the building and the owner of the wifi network have limited me down to this method. The inside IP address is 192.168.99.1/24 and the IP of the root access point I am connecting to is 192.168.1.1/24 (outside?). I've been successful in a lab setting with NAT in the past, i understand the concepts- however, this is a situation I can't find any documentation on.
Anyone have a suggestions?
Thanks In Advance,
-Mikeey

Hello,
--> The inside IP address is 192.168.88.1/24 and the IP of the root access point I am connecting to is 192.168.1.1/24 (outside?).
Not really sure what you mean by 'outside' and 'inside' in this context. Can you post a topology diagram showing how all devices are connected ?

Hello,
thanks for the drawing. If the AP has an IP address of 192.168.1.3, there needs to be a corresponding IP address on the router. You could try and configure interface GigabitEthernet0/0 with e.g. IP address 192.168.1.1.
Is the AP (what brand/model is it?) configurable, that is, can you configure the port on the AP that connects to GigabitEthernet0/0 on the router as a trunk ?

Hey Georg,
Thank you for your response. First, the AP I'm using a fairly basic model, it was intended for another purpose originally. It is a TL-WA801ND and aside from basic mode and IP settings it is unable to be configured on port by port basis. Originally, I had set the int IP of g0/0 to 192.168.1.1 but was getting no results. I'm assuming I configure the IP's of 192.168.(25/30/99/etc).0 to translate to the 192.168.1.0 IP's? I tried this originally and the nat translations was completely blank on top of not getting proper functionality.
If I can't set it up this way, are there any suggestions as to better handle a bridged network configuration?

Hello,
can you post the full running configuration of the router ?
Are the clients connected to the AP actually getting IP addresses and if so, which ones ?

Hello
192.168.1.0/x is the network that interconnects between the cloud internet and the outside interface for the 2901 rtr gig0/0 interface, So as this is a non-routable subnet on the outside interface of the 2901 rtr what device is performing nat for this subnet , Would that be the AP route bridge?
Can you confirm if you are trying to perform NAT on the 2901 for its internal network 192.168.99.0/x and its this that is not working correctly
