Nexus Switch Unable to ping 8.8.8.8 but ISR able to ping and BGP is UP

Hi,

I'm wondering why the router able to ping the 8.8.8.8 but the switch is not able to ping but it's directly connected to the ISR router. BGP is already established and our public ip is already advertised. point to point can ping each other.

the weird part is I'm able to ssh from outside our nexus switch

I don't know if I'm missing some configuration but I already point my nexus switch to ISR by using ip route 0.0.0.0/0 x.x.x.x

We do not have much information to work with and that makes it difficult to give good advice. Based on the little that we know my first guess is that the ISR is not configured to provide address translation for the ping request from the Nexus.

you need to provide more information, how your devices connected and if ppossible config.

but I already point my nexus switch to ISR by using ip route 0.0.0.0/0 x.x.x.x

you have a route towards ISR, does ISR know how to come back to the nexus IP address range.

bit odd is it mentioned from the outside you able to reach nexus? not sure what IP address that is ?

if nexus is not able to reach the internet, how you can able to get in traffic.

most cause i am guessing here is NAT at ISR router?

Would the original poster post a copy of the router config? This would help us understand what is the issue?
