Dear sir,
Please suggest me, how can I configure P bit to set to 0 on an ABR so as to stop it from propagating LSA type 7 to other areas.

LSA Type 7 can not be send out the NSSA area, the ABR will translate any LSA type 7 to LSA type 5 before send out to backbone area for example.

Hi Mounir,
Thanks a lot for ur reply.
The main concern here is to stop the ABR translating type 7 LSA to type 5, that can be done by setting P bit to 0.
I want to know, how can we set P bit to 0.
Thanks in advance

Hi Tushar ,
A possible workaround applies when the Autonomous System Boundary Router (ASBR) is also an Area Border Router (ABR). The NSSA ASBR can then summarize with the ""not-advertise"" keyword, which results in not advertising the translated type 7 LSAs.
HTH & Thx
