I recently had a T1 point-to-point circuit installed from Massachusetts to Sweden. I expected a T1 jack at both ends but instead got a T1 jack in Massachusetts and an E1 jack in Sweden. I had a pair of 1760 routers with T1 modules all set to go but of course the E1 can't plug into the T1 module. I suppose I could get an E1 module on one side. Is it possible to configure this and if so what should I watch for?

Your service provider does some sort of internal conversion between the T1 and E1 in their switch. So all you need is a T1 wic on US end and E1 module on the Europe end. You could get a VWIC-1MFT-E1 (typically used for voice E1's can also be used for data E1's) or a VWIC-1MFT-G703 . I dont think there is a data only E1 wic available (Cisco has network modules that terminate E 1circuits, but you have a 1760 which does not have a NM slot).
You might want to check with your service provider regarding your E1 switch settings.
Here are some links to the VWICs

It sounds like you've been given 24 channels of connectivity i.e. 1536k rather than a T1 end to end (1544k)
Hopefully on the E1 end you'll have timeslots 1-24 (timeslot 0 is for framing) which will turn up in the US. You'll need an E1 interface in Sweden though but check to see if you were sold an end to end T1 before you spend any more money etc...
