Hi all. I have a PIX 515 that accepts inbound vpn connections from 1750 routers. I have one or two locations complaining about slow email response when sending emails. How can I optimize these routers for better WAN performance? Are there particular counters that I should be looking at for determining any bottlenecks, etc?

Hi
You can monitor the interface utilisation on the routers kept at the remote end to make sure that they are not choking the entire bandwidth subscribed from your ISP.

Which commands do I use for that?

Hi
On the routere end you can make use of show interface serial x/x (serial x/x connected to the external world)you can even reduce the load interval to less than 5 mins which is by default using load-interval 30 which is the minimum value u can set under the interface...
