Re: OSM-4GE-WAN-GBIC module

hi guys,

Need your help.

OSM-4GE-WAN-GBIC module of cisco 6509 switch got reloaded, while rebooting it gave the lcp failed to go online error and card did not came online.after jack out jack in it came up. now it is working fine for last 24 hours.

Need to find out the route cause of failure.

Hi ,

It is better open a TAC case and let it be investigated.

In the output os show-tech you may find some traceback when the problem was occurered and can be decoded by TAC engineer to know the exact problem.i.e whether it is a bug or not.

%CWAN_RP-1-LCLOG_MSG: slot [dec]/[dec]: [chars]

An error has occurred on a module. The slot and CPU number are indicated after the CWAN_RP-1-LCLOG_MSG text. The error message that appears after the slot number is the original message from the module.

Recommended Action: Follow any instructions provided in the error message text. If no instructions are provided, copy the message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log. Research and attempt to resolve the issue using the tools and utilities provided at http://www.cisco.com/tac. With some messages, these tools and utilities will supply clarifying information.
