OSPF default-information originate behavior

i have the following topology in question:

LB0----R1--------f0/0--------R2----LB0

R1 is generating a default route with "default-information originate always". If R2 does the same. R2 loses the default route from R1.

Looking at the debug ospf rib, it seems that after issuing this command, R2 deletes the default route from R1, however, it does contain the LSA for 0.0.0.0 from R1.

The only thing both routers except with something lower than OSPF AD.

I understand the issue, but looking for a better explanation.

Regards,
Khalid
