Hi there.
I need a help to understand a real problem, or impact, caused by Output Drops on ATM subinterface.
The ATM subinterface have a lot output queue drops reported (and is constantly incrementing), but this, apparently, don't caused any problem on the router or data link.
My doubt is...What a real impact that the output queue drops caused on the router and/or data link?
Router
- Cisco 7206VXR Version 12.0(33)S4
- ATM interface OC3
Output show atm pvc command (this interface have a lot PVC):

That is normal, once you exceed the Contract Cell Rate, router will have to drop packets.
If you do not want this to happen, buy more bandwidth,
Also note, is is not necessary to hide you VPI/VCI values. Nobody can do anything knowing thems, as thye are not like public IP addresses or telephone numbers.

Thanks Paolo
2048 Kbps in contract
2273 Kbps set
If I reduce to 2048 Kbps (to match the contract) the drops don’t occur.
My doubt is...What a real impact that the output queue drops caused on the router and/or link? (for example, retransmissions, packet loss, etc.).

You should see AAL5 errors on opposite end router.
