Hi

a number of my branch router is connect to Head office.

all branch are connect through GRE Tunel. But from one of branch when I show interface Tunnel then found Packet drop .

But when ping HO LAN to Branch LAN through Computer then no ping lose. besides another branches tunnel is okay.

Can you tell what is the probability problem in packet drop , what I take the step for resulation.

Hi,

- Are you having packet loss from the physical interface that's connected to your local ISP (Branch ISP)?

check if you are getting hit by fragmentation, this should be very simple show commands. Are the tunnels flapping? Do you have keepalives on the logical interface?

Can you please post the following output cmd:

- show interface tunnel x/y

any syslog msg? Is the head-end ISP connection stable, any packet loss or degradation, have you compare the head-end logical tunnel configuration with the branch configuration?

Make sure you are using IP address on the tunnel source/destination, if you are using interface on the source make sure you haven't added a secondary IP address, this can make your day go to hell .

Is this tunnel using GRE only, or IPSEC?

HTH,

Elyinn.-
