Hello
I'm having troubles with applying an IP policy an a VRF interface.
The router is configured with multiple VRF's eg A, B & C
This at both the WAN and the LAN side.
Within VRF A I want to set a different next-hop for different source networks eg network "a" and network "aa"
So packets from source "a" arriving at the WAN interface within VRF A should be routed according to the route table at the LAN side within VRF A
Packets from source "aa", within VRF A, should be policy routed towards a different next hop at the LAN side within VRF A.
The route-map itself works fine for a similar set-up out of the VRF's
But when applying the policy on a VRF interface I get the following message:
% Policy Based Routing is NOT supported for VRF interfaces
% IP-Policy can be used ONLY for marking (set/clear DF bit) on VRF interfaces
Doe someone have an idea how I could solve this?
Thank you
grtz

Hi Fred,
unfortunately the error message seems pretty clear. On IOS/platform you have PBR is not vrf aware.
However if you tell us the platform you use, the IOS running and the actual configuration you applied we might come up with some idea/workaround.

What about you out the interface in global non vrf
Use two different vrf like A1 and A2
Set source a in vrf A1 and source aa in vrf A2 using pbr with set vrf command
