PDM is unable to contact the pix Since new version of Java (6 build 1)??

I can't remember I had this problem before but every let's say 5 minutes I must close the PDM and re-login in to the PDM before I can make any changes again or save the configuration. It also happens when I'm NET idle for a long time. Is there a Solution for this bug/problem?

Hi,

Haven't experience this with my PIX/ASA, what is your ASDM and OS version? BTW, they are both called ASDM now PIX or ASA unless you are still using the old one for PIX.

We have a Pix 501 so it's still PDM and not ASDM.

Everything on the PIX is de most recent version.

Solved!

After uninstalling Java Version 6 build 1 and installing Version 5 build 10 is don't have this issue. a little bug in Java or PDM maby??

That corrected mine as well. I had Java version 6, update 3. Maybe someone should try to work with the java developers for a fix...
