Hi,
We have two 2621 Routers (R1, R2) connected back to back through Ethernet interface, all our clients should be routed from R1 to R2 with different ip address, so we've created a subinterface for each client on both routers and we have used Policy Routing on R1 to match the source of each client and forward it to its gateway on R2.
I believe the policy routing is not recommended in such situation.
We are thinking to replace R1 with a L3 switch, do you think this will help.
Please suggest any solution that could be helpful at the scenario.
Thanks

Create a VLAN for each customer on the switch and trunk that across to the router. Create subinterfaces on the router for each customer VLAN.

Thanks for your reply...
We are using VLAN and created for each customer on R1 and R2 since the two routers are connected directly without switch. but my problem of using the policy routing on R1 to match the source IP of each customer and forward it to its VLAN on R2.
My qouestion:
since each customer has different IP,Gateway,VLAN ID and suninterface,
how can i forward the traffic of each customer to its VLAN without using the policy routing.
Your help is highly appreciated...
