are port-channel interfaces supported in 6500s -w- SUP-2T?
Inquirying if able to bundle a couple of 10GB ports on a 6908 via port-channeling.
12.33 IOS doesn't it, but haven't completely confirm whether 15.1 IOS does.
thanks, Kevin

Yes, you can bundle the 2 10Gig ports using an Etherchannel. You can use SXJ or 15. They both support it. You can also use the 10Gig ports on the sup for VSL links if you are doing VSS.

very good, but not only for down-linking to campus networks, but to bundle 10GB ports on 6908 to get 20GB WAN interconnect transport. These will be X2-10GB-ER transceivers (SM-40km)... Same support?
thanks, Kevin

Same way, whether you use 6908, Sup or any other module, it doesn't make any difference. Also, it doesn't matter what type of optic you are using (LR, SR, ER, etc..) as long as the speed and duplex is the same for all physical links in an Etherchannel, you are good to go.

Good Luck
