I am trying to port forward port 3389 (RDP) to my desktop (10.10.1.1) from the internet.  I have a Cisco router 3600 series I am still fairly new to this and any help would be appreciated.

Configuring NAT (One to One Mapping) | Cisco Skills http://ciscoskills.net/2011/01/21/configuring-nat-one-to-one-mapping/

Mr. Clark

Thank you very much. I will take a look at it and hopefully have success. Thank you for your time.

Mr. Clark

First of all I would like to thank you for your help. I have not configured my router yet because I have another question that is pretty significant. Behind my router is my McAfee firewall appliance and then my switch. Do I need to "Port Forward" from the router to the outside interface of the firewall, then port forward from the firewall to Remote Desktop computer? Or would you suggest placing the firewall in between the modem and router?

Terry

If the McAfee appliance is also performing NAT, then yes you will need to NAT twice; one on the router and one on the McAfee.

Collin

Thank you very much, I will give a try.

You might know this, Is there away to see which IP addresses has hit either the internal or external interface?
