Hello all,
Is there a way to prevent resetting catalyst config by pressing and holding in the MODE button after powerup? I had entered in a basic config into my switch including passwords, etc. and was checking out different uses of the MODE button including setting the switch into express mode and I somehow managed to wipe the config and send the switch back into a default state by holding the mode button in for too long.
I want to prevent this from happening once the switch it is in production.
Not sure if it matters, but this is the 24 S model using the LAN lite image....
thanks much

Sorry, but this is an incorrect answer. The correct answer would be to enter "no setup express" into the global configuration. This feature dates back to at least 12.1(13)AY which was released in July of 2003.
