Hi
I'm confused about what is the best procedure to replace a failed SUP2T-10G on VSS because I founded 2 ways:
1°
- Replace the failed SUP
-Copy the Same IOS on the new SUP
-Configure the VSS:
switch virtual domain 100
switch 1 priority 200
!
interfacer po1
swith virtual link 1
!
!
interface range TenGigabitEthernet1/X/Y - 1/X/Y
no switchport
no cdp enable
channel-group 1 mode on
no shutdown
- Save config and reload to form the VSS
2°
I found this link https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/switches/catalyst-6500-virtual-switching-system-1440/109334-replace-vss-sup-proc-v1.html
The big differents are that I not need to configure the VSS and just copy the Same IOS and Config on startup-config and configure the switch_num X.
Does any know what is the best way?.
Thanks and regards.
