I am trying to create a pseudowire between a ASR920 and a 7600. I can create the pseudowire, but I can't get the pseudowire to come up. I noticed on the ASR920 I can't encapsulate MPLS. On either side of the connection shows dn/dn. What am I missing?

Disregard this issue I was able to solve the problem with a service instance on the appropriate interface, coupled with a default encapsulation.

Hello,
can you, for the sake of seeing the solution, post what you have configured on both routers to make this work ?

Sorry for the late response. As for the configuration,
7600 side 192.168.1.3
interface GigabitEthernet1/1
description to ASR920
mtu 9216
no ip address
load-interval 30
xconnect 192.168.1.2 123456 encapsulation mpls
ASR920 side 192.168.1.2
interface GigabitEthernet1/1
description to 7600
service instance 2 ethernet
encapsulation default
xconnect 192.168.1.3 123456 encapsulation mpls
mtu 9216
no ip address
