Hi,
I needed some clarification on how QoS is implemented on a Network. As far as Iam aware, We mark and classify the packets and then make a policy map and apply it on the Interface.
Now, are we using ACLs to classify traffic on the LAN switches and then marking them? What configuration are we doing on the switches and Routers? Is there any special configuration being done for voice traffic?
What does it mean when we saying that the LAN is trusting DSCP?
PLease advise.
Regards
Navneet

hi navneet,
Trusting DSCP value is ipheader won't be changed and the switch / router will accept the priority and forward as per it.
