Hello,

We have some corporate customers that purchase guaranteed bandwidth. What we want is to take benefit of this pipe of bandwidth to provide shared bandwidth to others.

Does the config below will achieve this goal?

policy-map INTERFACE_POLICY

class Interface

  shape 2048

   service-policy CBWFQ

policy-map CBWFQ

class Cust 1

  bandwidth 1024

class Cust 2

  bandwidth 1024

class Cust 3

shape 1024

fair-queue

--> Cust 1 and 2 buy dedicated 1mbps and Cust 3 buy 1mbps shared (not guaranteed)

Policy might depend on platform and/or IOS.  CBWFQ works a little differently pre-HQF vs. HQF.

I'm assuming you're have HQF CBWFQ, otherwise you couldn't use FQ outside of default-class.  If so, perhaps:

policy-map CBWFQ

class Cust 1

  fair-queue

  bandwidth 1020

class Cust 2

  fair-queue

  bandwidth 1020

class Cust 3

  shape 1024000

  fair-queue

  bandwidth 8
