If I am creating a Class Map and Policy Map on the control room switch were the encoder is connected and I am stating that any traffic coming from 235.5.140.250 is to be classified as CS5 then on each switch down line that’s connected all the way to each destination I should only need to trust those markings. Am I correct in that assumption? Why would I need to make a new access list and Class Map and Policy Map for each switch. I would think I would just trust the dscp markings on each interface needed.
Attached is a Network Map of the video stream I am working on. The signal starts at the Encoder on the far left with a multicast address of 235.5.140.250
Cheers,
Chris

Hi,
I would say that if the traffic comes into the switch already the with CS5, you are correct you will only need to trust the interfaces along the traffic path, so that the traffic comes and goes out with the same marking vaue.
