Hi All:
I have 1 quick question. We have a 3 T1 bundle and our monitor has spit out a graph that showed over 6 MB consumption for a brief period of time.
Drilling down I see bandwidth in and out were added to compile this.
My question - is a T1 bandwidth 1.45 up and 1.45 down? I'm just trying to figure out of the monitor is in error.
Thanks

A T-1 provides 1.544 Mbps (1.536 usable) in both directions.

Thanks. So the monitor simply combined up and down and at that particular time....added up to over 6 mb

What are you using for monitoring the links? Normally traffic is monitored independently in each direction.

Its a common trick on SNMP platforms to combine traffic in both directions. You'll quite often see FE ports with a graph showing 200Mbps at the top of the scale!
