"IP routing" command on Cisco IE-3400H-16T not working.

Hi,

I have a Cisco IE-3400H and I am trying to enable "ip routing". When I type in the command, I get ... % Incomplete command.

P1F1V1-ERM6(config)#ip routing

% Incomplete command

Am I missing something? Thnx

ip routing should be enabled by default in IE-3400 switches.

Can you try:

P1F1V1-ERM6(config)#ip routing ?

and share with us?

Or try to enable one of the supported routing protocols:

P1F1V1-ERM6(config)#router rip

Meaning CLI wait other key word after.

Please share this output:

P1F1V1-ERM6(config)#ip routing ?

Note that if you have

ip route

command, it means that routing feature is available.

Ok. I'm 99.8% sure that ip routing is enabled on the switch.

You can go ahead and configure a

routing protocol.

what IOS code running on the device ?

IOS XE - Essential License (default) only support Static Routing, If you like to use any IGP / BGP you need  (network advantage License)
