I have a tunnel interface that goes through satellite bandwidth simulator. The link is a 1.9 meg. The delay is set to 580 ms round trip. I have a ftp server connected to the router on one end of the link and a ftp client on the other end. My ftp transfer rate is 14 kb per second whhether I have the interface configured as tumnnel mode rbscp or configured as tunnel mode gre. There is no throughput improvement with RBSCP? What am I doing wrong?

hi there,
I also tried to implement RBSCP with connection that is going through satellite eventhough the delay is almost around 600ms to 700ms. RBSCP will improve the connectivity based on high delay with error rates.
Since the connecitivy of my satellite links does not produce error rates such as packet dropped, it will not do the improvement.

I read that information in the link that you posted and I read it as RBSCP almost duplicates the performmance of A PEP such as a Skyx Mentat box. The results of my testing appear to confirm what you have written in your reply. If this is the case, then the RBSCP protocol appears to be of little value.
