Our 870 series router just died and I need to get a replacement ASAP. I'm looking on newegg.com and
see a couple that would work. But, wanted to get some opionins first.
We have a DSL connection, so I want a router/modem combo. I'd also like it to have wireless and be able to do VPN and NAT.
Was thinking about the 876 router, but can't see if it has a RJ-11 port on it.
What do you guys use/recommend?

Be sure to check the Cisco 880 Series
The ADSL model would be the 887 - You can have 802.11 and 3G backup options too.
Check it out here http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps380/data_sheet_c78_459542.html

That looks good, but a little out of the pricerange once you add in the wireless adapter. I need an all in one that' already got wireless for around
that price. $600 will be the extreme max we can spend on it.

Try the 877W. Take note that if you use 12.4 and 15.X IOS the router will only support 2 VLANs. Downgrade the IOS to 12.3 and you can use up to 10 VLANs.
If the 877W is not your cup-of-tea, then try the 857W.
Due to the newer generations of router, the price of the 850 and 877 should be affordable.

Neither of those have RJ-11 ports for the DSL though. That I can see? I'm looking for one device for all three things. DSL modem, router, wireless AP.

RJ-11? The RJ-11 can plug into an RJ-45 socket.Discover and save your favorite ideas. Come back to expert answers, step-by-step guides, recent topics, and more.
