Hi there,

There is remote site that’s reported network problems.  They are using a 3G router and have no internet connection but all phone systems are working fine.

How should i start my troubleshooting?

Cheers,

Swann

If the Phone system locally available, then your LAN is ok, you need to check the 3G router and logs.

Hi,

If your phones are working and I assuming that all Phones are connected to the local PBX system.

Here I am sharing basic steps:

1. Login in any system and try to ping the default gateway. Offcouse you will check that your system is having a correct IP address.

2.If your Default gateway is not reachable than must check why it is? Where is it connected? Any power down or hardware faulty or IP change or duplicate IPs in the network?

3. If the default gateway is reachable than login in it and checks what is an issue? Is it ISP issue? Is your modem getting IP from the ISP? etc.

If you don't know what was happen or happing on the site than try with restart the modem. (Not recommended).

Deepak Kumar
