Hello
Is there a way to remove a route in OSPF that has been learned AND make sure the route is not re-inserted via an LSA from its neighbor?
#sh ip route
71.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets
O E2 71.x.x.x [110/1] via 192.168.201.1, 1w6d, GigabitEthernet0/1
Thanks!

Hi,
if you do a distribute-list in it won't appear in routing table but will stay in ospf database.
Regards.
Alain.

Thanks Alain, my goal is to completely remove this route from the router. Will your suggestion achieve this?

Jay,
The route as seen is an OSPF Ext type 2 route which is being redistributed into your OSPF process at the ASBR, so to avoid this route being redistributed into your process and have control of what gets in and what not, you can place a route map into the redistribute statement on the ASBR.
Check the link out for commands & example.
