ROM Monitor Password

Hi There,

A customer has asked us to configure a router for them that was previously used. However the previous engineer has configured a ROM Monitor password. Is there a proceedure to reset the ROM Monitor password? This is a Cisco 805 Router.

Hi Friend,

I think only TAC can help you to recover this password. I am sure you are in rommon disable mode and to configure anything you can have to come to rommon enable mode and if you don't have the password only TAC can help you.
