Hello,

I have question regarding route reflector.

In my MPLS core network ,we have two route reflectors. Two route reflectors

and each PE routers are belonged to a peer group. Route reflectors are Cisco

7301. IOS 12.3.  I have Hardware maintenace on one Routereflector. How can I

do that without interupting the end customer trafic.

Inside the mpls core network OSPF is used as IGP

PE<---->Route reflectors     IBGP

Thank you

Manoj

Hello,

I assume that RRs are not placed in forwarding paths so no outage should happen if one of RR will go down.

Just to check:

- both RRs are advertising same prefixes?

- both RRs have same clients?

Hello

Also are the RR clients logically AND  physically connected to either RR because if they are just logically connected then when you reload one of the RR routers the RR clients attached to that RR router will be isolated?
