Router Input rate is Uploading and Output rate is Downloading

1)This happened after LAN traffic redirected somewhere else or not passing thru the router. Router WAN still connected.

0 input rate. Therefore i thought input rate is WAN port Upload rate. Output rate is WAN port Download rate. Am i correct?

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 463000 bits/sec, 215 packets/sec

 

2)I saw input rate is many fold higher than output rate.  

IS router WAN port says Upload is 3620000 and download speed 966000?

1) If the interface is connected to the WAN device (towards your ISP), then input rate is download and output rate is upload.

 

2) It is common to see higher download speed than upload speed. In this case, you saw a 5 min average of 3620000 bits/sec download and 966000 bits/sec upload.

Hi,

 

Tht is wht i thought. output rate is Upload and input rate is download rate.

But the data shows that it has 0 input rate when LAN traffic is redirected somewhere else.

It still has X output rate because the WAN is still connected to telco. 

Could cisco input & output works the other way round? Also output packets in "sh int" are  crc, error.
