Hi

I tried to reset a pasword on a cisco adsl 37 router.

I followed the instructions posted in document:  Document ID: 12065

"Password Recovery Procedure for the Cisco 806, 826, 827, 828, 831, 836, 837 and 881 Series Routers"

After step 9

(Type  configure memory or copy startup-config running-config in order to copy the nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) into memory)

I 'm stuck ; I get the following

Destination filename [running-config]?

dsl power-cutback 0
                            ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

I have ios version 12.2(8).

Some advice?

Lieven H.

I am not sure I understand what happen?

When following the doc you got to the point where you changed the password and saving to start-up, is that correct?

I am assuming this is the doc you are following

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps380/products_password_recovery09186a00800942bc.shtml

Is this error after you hit enter?

That's correct.

copy startup-config running-config

I hit ENTER   and then appears

Destination filename [running-config]?

I hit ENTER again and ten appears

dsl power-cutback 0

thx for your reply.
