Hello.
I guess the issue is: you are using RIPv1 and auto-summary is in place.
11-12-2013 12:09 AM
Hi,
hardcode RIPv2 and disable auto-summary and you'll see the loopbacks advertised by RIP on each router.
router rip
version 2
no auto-summary
Now for the explanation: each router is sending 10.0.0.0/8 network as the update is crossing a major network boundary and RIPv1 autosummarizes in this case.
When the other RIPv1 router receives this 10.0.0.0/8 it looks if it has already network subnets part of this classful network known on other interfaces which is the case here and so it ignores the update.

Hi Thanks for your reply.....
If i configure rip version 2 summarized address is recieved from both side and both network can ping each other.
But if i configured version 1 summraized address is not recieving i dont know what is the issue .
Whenever if i dont confgure no auto summary at version2 by default its Autosummary is on.(but still recieved summary address from both side)
and rip version 1 have only auto summary on.(but summmary address is not recieved)

Hi,
But if i configured version 1 summraized address is not recieving i dont know what is the issue .
I answered in my previous post:
When the other RIPv1 router receives this 10.0.0.0/8 it looks if it has already network subnets part of this classful network known on other interfaces which is the case here and so it ignores the update.
This is how RIPv1 behaves, now in RIPv2 by default it also autosummarizes but it is now a classless protocol(not a classful one) and so it accepts the 10.0.0.0/8 network.

Alain
