Routing and ping

Hi there,

Thanks for reading.

I'm having trouble reaching an internal node: a Meraki 250.  The core switch it's directly connected to can ping its 10.1.0.250 address but no other indirectly connected devices can.  Here's a few things i've double checked:

The intended vlan exists

That vlan is allowed on the trunk

The IP is a locally connected route on the core switch

The directly connected FTD firewall can ping its 10.1.0.250 address

Thanks again for reading!

May be  ( i am guessting Meraki default gateway point to 10.10.120.1) on Meraki you need also route for the 10.1.0.X network towards 10.1.0.1).

Thanks Bandi!  I think I may have created/installed my entire management /24 network as a local network on the Meraki when I was just intending a single IP in that vlan.  I tried just now changing from /24 to /32 but that was rejected.

You can not do that until you subnet the requiremetn with /30 network configure different IP range as point to point link.

you can configure /24 mask but route the traffic for that subnet towards respected gateway.  since your default route goingto uplink.
