Hi all,
I've seen a configuration in which 2 CEs, both peer with PE, but what puzzled me is that both CEs and PE have the same route distinguisher, as apposed to what I thought now I understood that same RD can be configure in multiple routers, I obviously was wrong thinking that RD had to be unique on routers.
But can 2 PE have the same RD configured as well?
Any help would be appreciated

so as mention before it better to config
unique rd for VRF per PE
so when i mention un predictable behavior, I talk about add-path and shadow RR.

Hello @MHM Cisco World
You cannot have the multiple RD values on the same PE rtr and It is indeed suggested by cisco to use unique RD's for each vrf, Both of these I was aware however as @Giuseppe Larosa confirmed and I myself wasn't aware of you can have the same RD's on multiple PE routers and it is supported even though it maybe not recommended.

Yes it can config but it no recommend.
so I share some doc. about why not recommend.
since it some time confuse between RD and RT.
