Setting up VLAN on RV082

I purchased a RV082 router because it said it would support VLANs, but I cant seem to get it set up how I want.

I would like the first internet port on the router to feed one VLAN with an IP address.

I would like the second internet port (DMZ / Internet) to feed a second VLAN with a different IP address.

These two VLANs should be completely separate.  I can see how to set up VLANs but I can seem to find how to separate the feeds and assign them different IP addresses.

Can I set up the RV082 to do this?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Russ

As far as I understand, you are trying to set different ranges of IP addresses for each VLAN.

An option can be put in an access rule on the firewall that stops communication between the different vlan ip ranges.

For example:

you need to go to the "firewall" tab and then to "access rules".

Make sure you know the ip ranges for both vlans

Click on Add New Rule

Action - Deny

Service - All Traffic

Log - Not Log

Source Interface - Lan

Source IP - Range and then set values to ip range of vlan 1

Destination ip - Range and then set values to ip range of vlan2

Click on Save Settings

Then repeat but reverse the source and destination ip ranges.
