Searching for answers on these

• How many SIP trunk can be configured on cisco 3845
• How many maximum calls are allowed on each SIP Trunk
• How to find SIP Trunk compatiblity matrix of cisco with other vendors, my concerns are Nortel / Asterix and Avaya

Q1 and 2: there is no hard limit.

Q3: there is no published matrix. There are interoperability guides for some PBX brands, but not necessarily about SIP.

You can use the DSP calculator tool  (only for paid support contract), however in general 1 xx unit of pvdm2-xx = 1 g.711 call.

For troubleshooting, you can search but the most important thing is experience and logic.
