Skype Traffic Prioritize ASA 5505

Hello,

I need to prioritize Skype/any traffic over other traffic in Cisco ASA 5505. 

How can i do that.

Hi Nooruddin , 

If you know the port Skype use , you can create a class-map on the ASA and prioritize the traffic , check examples below:

Hello,

Skype uses random port. I just need to Prioritize Skype traffic when somebody starts either audio/video conversation and give high amount of bandwidth.

So which option would be useful

Nooruddin, 

On the ASA part, the class-map for use with QoS can only match based on the following criteria

- ACL

- dscp value

- tcp/udp port

As per Skype does not use an specific port , this option seems not be feasible.  The best approach would be to create an ACL to prioritize the traffic based on hosts. 

The previous link shared contains an exmaple of this configuration.
