Smart Licensing after upgrade

Evening,

We have several C1111 Routers that were running 16.9 with perpetual traditional licences, since moving to 16.10 smart licensing has been enabled and all our licences are now showing as expired.

I've tried transferring them over to smart licensing but received an email saying that our hardware is not under any contract and that we have 120 days to them under maintenance.

What happens in 120 days if we do not get the tins under maintenance, also why have we got to have them under maintenance to use the licences we have already paid for?

Nothing going to happen for the perpetual License that router going to work as expected.

Due compliance if you have any Advanced License used for RTU, that features may be me disabled.

check with License team over chat - they can help you, if you have order information that shows you paid.

Note : all the License not perpetuals, some License are 1 year / 3 yeras / 5 years - not sure what License its expired

Nothing going to happen for the perpetual License that router going to work as expected.

Due compliance if you have any Advanced License used for RTU, that features may be me disabled.

check with License team over chat - they can help you, if you have order information that shows you paid.

Note : all the License not perpetuals, some License are 1 year / 3 yeras / 5 years - not sure what License its expired

Or do I not even need Call Home to use Smart Licensing?
