i have a bit strange question.....how to enable snmp on cisco router......like my requirment is if an interface goes down one shd get an email............thnaks a million

AFAIK, you can enable SNMP on the router but not able to let the router to send email. You have to setup an automatic notification system to receive the SNMP trap from the router then send an email to the admin.
