hi,
We have to connect multiple data E1s to ASR1002. Can be SPA-1XCHSTM1/OC3 interface (SDH
mode) used instead of using multiple E1 interfaces, ( I mean "63
subinterfaces").
Following protocols used: GRE, IPSEC, EIGRP.
Please see attach diagram:

Hello Inbal,
yes it is good idea to go for optical channelised STM1 in place of multiple E1.
Easy to manage and have good performance compare to individual E1

Yes as Mahesh said it is better to use SPA like Prowler (1xCHSTM-1/OC3)
to create more T1 or E1 interfaces instead of having mutiple separate controller. It will definitely save lot of money on cables and your lab will look neat:) Take care of mapping the source and destination ports in ADM and I believe this topology should work fine. Typically this is how mobile deployments would be where lot of link being aggregated from cell-site routers using ADM towards to core routers.
Thanks
Madhu

first of all, thanks alot....
second, I need to know for sure if the sdh payload mapping (in SPA-1XCHSTM1/OC3 interface) is standard and work with SDH Vendors. ( because the ASR will connect ECI ADM and I want to know for sure if it's work well together)
