static route question

Hi,

Please check attached rough diagram.

Untitled.jpg

I'm not advertizing 151.41.1.4 anywhere to B,C,D. only router A knows about 151.41.1.4.

can I put following static route on D:

ip route 151.41.1.4 255.255.255.255 192.168.1.1

will above "static route" send all traffic to the PC (151.41.1.4) correctly?

please note that B,C,D knows where to route traffic for 192.168.1.1.

No.  Each router makes an independent forwarding decision.  Once C gets the packet from D, all it will have to make a routing decision is the destination IP (151.41.1.4).  The next-hop set in the static route on D is not propagated with the packet.  As C doesn't know about 151.41.1.4, it will drop the packet as unreachable.
