Static routing difference rv325 rv345

Working Config .. Router RV325 , only  WAN1 in use for Internet Access. LAN inside incl. DHCP 192.168.1.XX

For a dedicated IP address 10.209.157.0   Subnm 255.255.255.0 a static routing is defined... to 192.168.1.254

Reason: on 192.168.1.254 a Cisco 800 provides a secure line to a dedicated server system... let's call it a black box

The RV325 should now be replaced with a RV345.

Same setup done... difference is just that RV325 has it in the GUI under advanced, and RV345 under routing-static routing...

Beside that ...

ping and tracert produces the same output on both router..

However, for the applications running on a linux server and on some PC's it seems there is a difference... with the old RV325 all ok, with the RV345 msg is just no connection...

Any idea what I might miss?

I should have added... the system like this works for 15l years... Router was first some business netgear router, then a fortinet one, finally a RV325 ... all worked ok...

The RV325 has an old firmware installed... I am afraid to update, as this might cause the same problems like the actual firmware RV345...

If one has an idea, pls let me know...

I know, that the RV series are super buggy.. but that info doesnt help me... :-)

Not sure if we understand the issue correctly, can you explain, is the incoming NAT/PAt not working access from outside?

Also give us what Firmware was working before, what is on RV345 now ?

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

OK, sorry, I just thought it might be a known issue...

RV345 the router which does not work - Firmware 1.0.03.18

RV325 the router which is ok - Firmware: 1.3.1.12

The RV345 should replace the RV325

Internet via RV325- WAN1 with NAT ... LAN intern 192.168.1.0/24

inside the LAN, an old Cisco800 via ADSL is in use on 192.168.1.254 to keep an additional connection to an outside LAN (Secure system - medical data only which is on 10.209.157.0/24)

Therefore if one of the devices inside the 192.168.1.0 LAN want access this 10.209.157.X .. a static route is setup in the RV325 who routes all 10.209.157.X to the Cisco 800 who listens on 192.168.1.254

This solution works fine for  > 10y with different router models in between. (Netgear, Fortinet, Cisco RV325 - I did the setup on all of them and it worked always... just adding a static route...) Unluckily, the RV345 does not like me...

How to get the RV345 as the new replacement of the RV325 running... ? Thats my question... :-)

RV325:

Destination IP Subnet Mask Default Gateway Hop Count(Metric, max. is 15) Interface

10.209.157.0255.255.255.0192.168.1.2542LAN

RV345: does not work

10.209.157.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.254 VLAN1
