Suggestions for supporting a 1Gb ISP connection

Hi, we upgraded to a 1Gb ISP connection and discovered that our 2911-k9 does not support that throughput. This might be a dumb question (I’m a newbie), but is there an HWIC that we could add to the 2911 that would add to enable it to scale. If so, which one.

From what I’ve been able to find online, it looks like two other cost-effective solutions might be a ASR1001 (not ASR1001-X), an ISR4421 or an ISR4431. Can someone please confirm one or more of these models would support a 1Gb internet connection.  Are there any other cost-effective options that we should consider.

We have a small environment with two 48-port Catalyst 3750g switches, 2 Aironets, 5-Vlans and approx. 75 desktop and mobile devices.

Sorry, no (routing) HWIC module that will boost your 2911 to have gig throughput.

You have full gig, up and down?

If so, you'll want to look for a device that supports 2 Gbps. You might go less, if you believe you won't actually run at full gig rates, most of the time.

See table 4 in https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/routers/4000-series-integrated-services-routers-isr/data_sheet-c78-732542.html

Understand, in the forgoing table 4, the first two performance rows are "guaranteed" throughput, while the third row, boost license, is maximum possible, but not "guaranteed".

Also, yes, the entry ASR 1K models should be able to provide support for a single gig link.

Thank you, especially for letting me know that we need a 2Gbps
