T1 Serial Interface card

Hi,

When configuring WAN serial link T1 :

When do we need to configure the controller T1 and it's parameters in the controller mode ( controller t1 1/0/1) ?

And some times controller t1 1/0/1 doesn't appear in the configuratio it's just serial. Does it depens upon which card is installed in the router?

If this is correct which cards will apprear as T1 controller and which will just appear as serial interfaces?

As ultimately we get serial link of 1.54 MBPS.

Please share the experience.

Hi,

E1/T1 cards will show as controllers under the show run output (VWIC and HWIC-xT1/E1), T1 only cards will show a Serial interface without a controller under the show run (WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 & HWIC-1DSU-T1).
