T1: Serial X up, line protocol down (VWIC-1MFT-T1 face to PA-MC-T3 channelized)

Hi,

  This is my scenario,

7200 (PA-MC-T3) T1 #28   <---(DS3)--->  MX2820 <--(DS1)--->  CISCO2651XM (WIC-1DSU-T1),

the link works fine, I have serial up and protocol up over 7200 and the 2651XM T1 serial interfaces, OK !!!

But, if i used a VWIC-1MFT-T1 card with the 24 channels (speed 64), the serial state is up however the protocol is down in both sides,

my question is:

Does the PA-MC-T3 cards works with the VWIC-1MFT-T1 for data comunication?

what does i need to configure to make its works?

can someone help me"

this is the configuration:

ROUTER 7200

!

controller T3 2/0

t1 28 channel-group 2 timeslots 1-24

!

!

interface Serial2/0/28:2

ip address 10.10.200.1 255.255.255.252

encapsulation ppp

keepalive 10 3

!

CISCO 2651XM

!

!

controller T1 0/1

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24

!

!

interface Serial0/1:0

ip address 10.10.200.2 255.255.255.252

encapsulation ppp

keepalive 10 3

!

I appreciate any help

thank you

Rolando

Hi,

Can try using HDLC encapsulation on both serial ports?

You need to provide the relevant show controllers and shot interface for both routers.

Are you sure the you shound't be using line clock? The controller should 100 100% error-free in normal conditions.

Note: I only report what I saw. I don't know why the old router works and the new doesn't.
