hi, i have a problem with a interenet metro ethernet link of 100 Mb, the int g0/1 is conected to my carrier and receive 100 mb link

interface GigabitEthernet0/1

description Conected to internet

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.252

no ip proxy-arp

load-interval 30

duplex full

speed 100

media-type rj45

no negotiation auto

no cdp enable

and the int g0/2 is conected to the lan

interface GigabitEthernet0/2

description Puerto Red Lan Corporativo

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.240

no ip proxy-arp

load-interval 30

duplex full

speed 100

media-type rj45

no negotiation auto

the problem is that the int g0/2 must be configured with speed 1000 for reach the 100 mb of total link to internet, if the int g0/2 is configured to speed 100 reach only about 20 mb of link.

i think that even both interfaces have the speed 100 comand must be reach the total link of 100 mb

is this correct??

thanks for your help

I think you're being mislead by some other issue.

You might want to confirm whether your vendor allows for full line rate.  Often service provider Ethernet hand-offs have bandwidth policy limits less the the physical medium supports.

It's also possible you vendor doesn't have the capacity to support full line rate.  In this case, if you have a service level agreement you can take this up with them.

Lastly, depending on location and bandwidth of the sites you're attempting to work against, they might have insufficient bandwidth and/or their or your TCP settings might be such that you'll not see full line usage with few flows.
