Unable to recover password on 2514 router

I'm trying to recover the password on a 2514 router in my lab at school. During boot I was only seeing what looked like encrypted data, and unable to get a break at a braud rate of 9600. When switched to 2400 braud rate, was finally able to read data and insert break. The confige register is 0xffff3902, when try to change it ask for cirfirm y/n. type y or yes and it won't change. any suggestions Thanks RS

That config register value looks strange. Normally, a config register is only 4 Hex digits such as 0x2102.

You have to reset the router in order to config-register take effect.Without reload it will show you the older value.
