Can someone point me to clear documentation on REP interaction with QoS? I can configure all normal QoS commands on a REP enabled segment port, but have read online that "REP doesn't pass QoS". This would seem to be a very severe limitation. Any additional information anywhere? All I really need is for the switch to pay attention to previously marked DSCP values and to forward them along according to policy. Why would REP limit this?

Hi
Could you advise what products you are using ?
I don't know of any such limitations.

IE3000, IE3010, 4900M, and 3750X ( REP just added to this switch in 15.0(2). )
I just need mls qos trust dscp on all the REP trunk ports.
See these threads:
https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2198495
"I am not clear from any of the documentation if implementing L2TP on a REP ring, which appears to be supported by REP, will be able to pass QoS, which will not go through normal REP configured ring."
and
https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2196311
"We currently manage a fiber WAN loop with a Wireless backup loop with REP on the Fiber side and Routed network on the wireless failover. A vendor is insisting on being able to use QoS on the equipment placed in local networks off the WAN to manage their VoIP system. QoS, however, does not pass through REP managed segments. I am wondering if this can be accomplished though a VPN and/or VLAN between the vendors equipment acrosss the REP managed ring."
These two are saying QoS doesn't pass through REP managed segments. I cannot find clear documentation as to the accuracy of this. When I do "rep segment 1" on a trunk port, it allows me to do auto-qos, mls qos trust etc - no errors.
