Using ADSL to backup Leased Line

I would like to use an ADSL/IP Clear connection to backup an Leased Line/IP Clear link to our Hub site.

We currently use a Leased Line IP Clear connection to our Hub site using BGP and rather than using ISDN as our backup we would like to use a new ADSL/IP Clear line we have just had installed. Can anyone see any reason why this would not work? Would there be any pitfalls or special configuration issues?

Hi Gary

Are you running point to point links between your locations ?

if thats the case you need to work out virtual connectivity over the ADSL line which you are planning to run as a backup connectivity to the primary link..

You can create a simple GRE tunnel over the ADSL line and have your traffic routed via the same.

You can have floating static route pointing towards the tunnel created over the ADSL link..
