Can someone please confirm whether the Cisco VIC2-2BRI-NT/TE can be used to terminate an ISDN data connection? Router to router Data of ISDN bearer.
I need to quote it for a job and i would like confirmation before I commit to it.
I'm worried the VIC means its voice only rather than VWIC.
Thanks in advance.

WIC-1B-S/T-V3
Each WIC has 1 port. That is another reason that makes it awkward, and it is not done anymore.

It cannot be used, it is a voice card not a data card.

Thanks for the reply I thought that would be the case.
Is there a BRI card that will allow me to bond 4x 64k channels to give me a data connection?

You need to mention the router model on which you want to do that.
Note anyway that for today's networking, ISDN backup is too slow an expensive. Better to a nd Internet connectio, VPN, etc.

I'm looking to use a 2900. I know ISDN isn't the best option but due to limitations its my only option.

Thanks for part number. So if I buy two of these I can then bond to get 4x64k.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
